
The Charlestown Community Garden, a non-profit organization which provides over 4000 lbs of fresh organic vegetables to local food pantries and soup kitchens, is in need of volunteers on Tuesdays and Thursdays mornings from 9 to noon. Garden volunteers perform basic gardening functions such as planting, weeding and harvesting. No prior gardening experience is required. Charlestown Community Garden
- Is an all volunteer garden to help provide a sustainable solution to hunger in the local area
- 15,780 pounds of vegetables has been harvested and distributed to local nonprofits in since 2012.

- Meals on Wheels
- Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center
- Other South County food pantries

Your Financial Support Helps Us
- It costs approximately $3000 to maintain the garden
- Annual needs include:
- Mulch/Compost
- Seeds
- Plants
- Purchase/Maintenance of garden tools
- Administrative supplies
- Expand/maintain drip irrigation system
- Maintain fencing
